Our fire stopping and fire door installations are third-party certified under three schemes, and the business is pre-qualified for health, safety and quality by four more. Every job comes with an LPCB or FIRAS certificate, whichever you prefer.

These schemes assess our people, our processes and the quality of our installed work, through regular audits and site inspections.
LPCB: LPS 1531
LPS 1531 is the Loss Prevention Certification Board’s scheme for installers of passive fire protection. It means our fire stopping is installed by assessed operatives to tested details, and we can issue an LPCB certificate for the job.
FIRAS
FIRAS is a third-party certification scheme for installers of passive and active fire protection, run by Warringtonfire. Clients and insurers often specify it, and we can issue a FIRAS certificate for the job.
BM TRADA
BM TRADA certifies TECL for both fire door installation and fire stopping, giving independent assurance across both of our divisions.

Constructionline Gold
Constructionline is the UK’s main supplier pre-qualification register. Gold is its higher level, so we’re ready to work for public and private sector buyers without repeating the same checks.

What’s the difference between FIRAS and LPS 1531?
Both are third-party certification schemes for fire protection installers, run by two separate certification bodies: FIRAS by Warringtonfire and LPS 1531 by LPCB. TECL holds both, so whichever scheme your specification names, we’ll certify the job under it.
Does TECL provide FIRAS training or certify other companies?
No. Certification bodies award certification, and companies apply to them directly. If your project needs certified installation now, we can do the work for you.
